The seller swears it was winterized in 2008, in 2010 it is seized up with whitish goo on plugs. Have been spraying cylinders with PB Blaster for a week. Just put hot ATF(F) in the cylinders. Need help. Would use an impact wrench(short taps) if I knew where to hook up to the engine. Can't afford two engines rebuilt! Again, HELP!

This is a bit difficult to diagnose remotely since it could be many things causing the problem, have you had a chance to take it to your local dealer to see what their findings are?

Hi Kevin, The 98 Sportster is sitting at the dealer that winterized it in 08. They haven't examined it yet, but listed the umpteen million reasons why it may be in this condition. I still have hope for it, and haven't commited hari kari yet(although I do lay awake more than I like). I will keep you posted. Thanks!
