Hello everyone I have a 2006 Challenger 180 CS I kept the boat inside my garage, and flush it every time I used it!! I did change the battery thinking that would resolve the problem, I can ear a little buzzing noise like the starter over the engine area. I did start the boat about a month a go and everything was in working order but I left the battery switch in the ON position, when I try to restart the motor the battery was to weak, I bought the new one and now the engine won't start.

How do the connection points to the battery terminals look, any corrosion? Are you sure you are getting a good connection?

hey kevin thanks for replying so quickly,
the connectors on the battery look good, the cables are ok and everything electrically on the boat is working perfectly. I thought it was the starter button and I tried to bridge it. That was not the problem. when i push the starter button i hear a buzzing noise, but very lightly on the engine area. do you have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? and like i mentioned before, i maintain the boat indoors and everything is new. last time i used it was like 8 months ago, but once a month i always start the engine, with water off course, to let it run for a few minutes. I tried to use it two days ago and i thought it was the battery, because i left the battery switch in "on" position. thank you

Typically when you hear a light buzzing noise it means the engine is not getting enough "juice" from the battery to start the engine. This is very strange if you have put in a new battery already though. Our 160 Speedster use to do this when the battery was almost dead after sitting all season, we would hook a jump box to the battery and it would fire right up.
Do you get any "beeps" on top of the light buzzing when you try to start it?

Spark plug change? last year I could not start my 03 GTX with original plugs, it kept running worse and worse; put in new plugs and bam! fired right up!

I also have a 180 2006 Challenger that has an inconsistent start and no start operation. Could this be the start button itself that needs replacing?
