I just bought an Islandia. I love the boat but... My first problem, the port side engine overheat light came on. I was about 5 miles out in the bay and was happy I had 2 engines. After taking it back I re-read the book and it takes about intakes clogged, etc. I called the dealer and they said - It is VERY important that you flush the cooling system EVERYTIME you have it in salt water. ( I do wash it off every time and pay special attention to the engines when washing it. Here's my issue: I have the boat at our campground on the Chesapeake Bay. I prefer to put it in the water on Friday and take it our on Sunday. The book goes over the "how to" on flushing but does not give any pics to go by. I want to know 1. is it ok to leave it in the water for a few days at a time? 2. Can anyone tell me in detail "lamens terms" how to properly flush the boat? 3. when to I know it's time to replace the sacrificial anodes? Thanks in advance for all the help. - Scott.

1. Yes it is okay to leave the boat in the water for a couple days at a time. If you are going to do it for longer periods of time then I would recommend getting the bottom of the boat painted to prevent corrosion. Every time you pull it out of the water make sure you wash the boat thoroughly and flush the engine.
2. I am assuming that you have the Mercury engine in your Islandia so see the attached image -- also feel free to update your profile here, http://seadoosportbo...rcp&tab=members, so we can see your model and engine to the left of your posts.

3. I would recommend taking it to your dealer for this, let them inspect them and decide -- this is a bit hard to make a recommendation remotely without seeing their condition.
