Dear All, just bought my first boat - 2004 Utopia 185. Everything seems OK but have only had it out for 30 mins getting it to the dock. Problem is, there seems to be no manual available to tell me the general bits and bobs of running this boat. Does anyone have one that they can send me?
For example, the hose connector for when you flush the engine - I am assuming it needs to be capped during running as when I got to the dock there was about 4 inches of water in the engine bay. (The bilge pump was not working quite correctly and I assume that is why it didn't empty). Otherwise I have a leak somewhere!
But it would be good to get an idea of what to do on this boat. I have the manuals from this site but no general - turn the key and it starts type manual...
thanks!

Yes the flush connector needs to be capped when not flushing. There are also two drain plugs in the boat, one on each side of the pump, so make sure both are in and that the "O" ring is good on both. Make sure you check out the bilge pump before your next outing. With the Mercury engine, the best place to get the service manual is on CD off Ebay.
