I have the 2008 180 challenger w\215hp. My mph has been up to 58! I didn't believe it at first but I have friends with stern drives that are running 52 -53 and I can pull away from them. Is this normal? The website says the top speed 46!

That doesn't sound accurate to me. If you want to get an accurate reading I would recommend getting a GPS and then compare it to your speedo. The GPS should be a lot more accurate to your actual speed.
