('02 Merc V-6 M2 210HP carbed w/ Jet-drive in a SeaDoo 205 Utopia.)
Starter spins & engine 'locks' so I have to spin it backwards slightly to free the starter. Spinning it back, I can see the drive-shaft/inpeller has moved, but when I rotated it forward again it hits something pretty solidly & stops.
Before I pull the power-head, is there an 'easier' way to find out where the obstruction might be? I'm guessing it's not in the power-head but if it's in the jet-drive, I'm not sure how to pin-point that.
Since I couldn't get it started, I haven't winterized & it's going to get cold here soon. Is there something in the system that needs to be drained in the meantime?
Ideas?
Thanks!

Engine won't spin even though starter wants to spin it.

This is a tough one to diagnose remotely, were you able to get this resolved?

It turned out to be major catastrophic failure...piston broke & was stopping the engine from turning. I had to scrap the engine. This is a tough one to diagnose remotely, were you able to get this resolved?
