Anyone had the chance to get behind the helm of one of these yet? I would love to see how this new boat performs, would also like to see how the wake is for wakeboarding!

I would love to hear about this boat. Has anyone driven one? Ridden in one? How does it compare to "normal" stern drive 21' boats? Would you recommend 430 over 310 for family fun?

You contacted me at a different site. I am in terested in the 210 Wake and 210 SP. What is the difference between the two? I notice the difference in weight, graffics, & the 210 Wake is $2,000 more.

My 2 boys and myself are getting more serious about wakeboarding. How do you think the wake compares to the inboard wakeboarding boats? Can you wakesurf behind your 210 wake?

Ben,

The biggest difference from 210 Wake and the 210 SP is the optional 430hp which is not available on the 210 SP. The 210 SP comes with the naturally aspirated 310hp. If you opt for the 430hp (supercharged) this will be an additional $5,000 making this 210 Wake $7,000 more than the 210 SP.

Now what does the $2,000 pay for in the 210 Wake over the 210 SP with the 310hp:

• Wakeboard tower speakers
• Wakeboard tower racks
• Wakeboost system (600lbs of ballast)
• Heater (for those cool mornings)
• Full wrap-around seating

I am also getting more serious about wakeboarding which is why we went for the 210 Wake, I have yet to actually wakeboard behind our boat yet though. I did however wakeboard behind the 2011 210 SP at the 2011 BRP press event in Florida. I was very happy with the wake created behind that boat so it is ultimately what helped me make our decision to get a 210 Wake. Below is a short video of me wakeboarding behind the 210 SP, sorry we were more interested in the "ski-mode" so you will only see me and the wake for a brief moment.



As far as how it compares to a "traditional" wakeboard boat there definitely are some differences and a lot of critics will say our 210 Wake is not a "real" wakeboard boat. Personally I am okay with that because I am by no means a professional wakeboarder and don't intend on ever being one. The 210 Wake just makes more sense because of its overall versatility that still gets the job of wakeboarding done very well. We much prefer the jet drive because of its safety advantages and its maneuverability, something where a stern drive just doesn't stack up. I also feel like you get a lot more "bang for your buck" on the 210 Wake over a boat offered by Moomba, Supra, Tige, Mastercraft, CorrectCraft, Malibu, etc. I have driven and wakeboarded behind both a Moomba Mobius 21 LSV and CorrectCraft 210 Air Nautique. Even after those experiences I still prefer the 210 Wake.

To further elaborate why we chose the 210 Wake over the 210 SP, well for us it was mainly for the more powerful engines. The 310hp in the 210 SP felt very strong when I drove it and wakeboarded behind it, but we just like having the extra power if needed. We also chose the 210 Wake over the 210 SP because while the wake was nice behind the 210 SP we felt it could only get better with the extra 600lbs of ballast. Sure you could just buy your own ballast or fill the boat up with people to create the same effect, but in our case we tend to go out with only a few people so the ballast will come in handy as already being setup in the boat with a fill/drain switch on the helm.

Lastly can I wakesurf behind the 210 Wake, well I haven't tried it yet since we haven't even had our boat in the water yet. Our lake is drained during the off-season so it will be next season until we get any real face time behind it. However, check out the video below - those guys are doing a bit of wakesurfing behind the 210 Wake. If you primarily are going to wakesurf you might opt for the 210 Wake over the 210 SP for the sole reason of the wakeboost system (600lbs ballast). I am sure the ballast will be a lot better for wakesurfing.

Nice info, I was unaware that the 210 wake had a heater, is it the same type that the 230 wake has. This is something missing from brp published info.

Yes it is the same type of heater that is in the 230 Wake, it has a toggle switch on the helm for low or high.

Saw one at my local dealer. Very nice boat. I'd Prob prefer the lounge to the chair, with a lot of people they stuff around with their seat too much, the lounge is stationary with a storage locker under it!. The only two downsides(might just be my paranoia), is kids jump onto the swim platform of my boat all the time. The swim platform seems less sturdy due to it being a lid, also if you like to go fast a lot, you'll prob go through the gas twice as quick. Awesome looking boat though!

No supposedly the dealer still hasn't heard from BRP as to when it will arrive. I am getting pretty annoyed at this point as the season has started and I ordered it with deposit 4+ months ago.

Did you get the custom trailer with yours? If so I would love to see some pics?

Spoke to the dealer and with some pressure they contacted BRP and the boat is supposedly made and waiting for the transport company to pick it up this week, so with any luck I MAY get it this weekend.

Cant find any pictures online of the custom trailers......

Hey 328, did you get your boat, and how do you like it? Also, does the wake tower shake at all (a problem apparently with the 2008 models).
