Hydroturf Problems 2008 150 speedster

The piece that goes on the ski locker door is not wide enough to completely cover the factory non-skid surface. If I line it up in the middle it will have roughly a quarter inch of the non-skid surface exposed on either side, or I can obviously position to one side and leave a half inch or so exposed on the other. All my other pieces appear to cover all of the non-skid surface fine. This was one of the major selling points to me, since the non-skid factory surface is a dirt magnet and hard to clean.
On top of that, I am also having this issue described in this post....

So far, I have not had a warm fuzzy feeling about the customer service support from calling hydro-turf. They requested pictures to be sent to show the problem, which I will do tonight. Not impressed with this product or the customer service so far!!

The width problem looks miniscule compared to this. This can't be how all kits for this model boat are cut!?! All the other peices fit beautifully. As you can see from the pics, when you try to line the pattern up with the two pieces they dont line up right either, which is another problem.
I sure hope Hydro-Turf will fix this problem quickly! Seems like I waited forever for my order to finally arrive! What a dissapointment

Second, I apologize that the issue with the storage locker was not explained properly to you.
For that model boat the storage locker is too long to make it one piece with the grooves of the material going in one direction. When we first started making this kit we would explain to the customers what the issue was & if the preferred it to be in 1 piece with the grooves running the opposite direction or have us cut it into2 pieces & that the grooves may not line up exactly perfect. The majority of customers asked for the later.
This is definitely a questions that still needs to be asked & I apologize for this not being done.
I can also see that the piece looks way to small from the pictures I have seen from another post. It is not always easy obtaining patterns for certain models of boats so sometimes we have customers make patterns for us. In rare cases the pattern is not always correct.
If any of you, who own this Boat & is willing to make a correct pattern of the storage locker we will be more than happy to remake these pieces for all of you who have this issue & ship them to you at our cost.
We can either remake them them in 1 piece with the grooves going in the opposite direction or we can have it made into 2 piece & try to match the grooves best as possible. If you select to have the later option, you can always leave a 1/4 gap between the 2 pieces which does not make it look as bad.
Again, I apologize for these issues not being explained to you properly & hope I was able to answer your questions.
Anyone on this forum is more than welcome to email or call me any time you have an issue, questions or feedback.
Thank you,

Sea-Doo Sportster 4-TEC (03-05) / SCIC (05-06) /150 SPEEDSTER (07-08)
The dimensions I have are 43"Lx 10 5/8"w
Does this match what everyone else has??
We are thinking we may have sent the incorrect storage locker. These dimensions are taken from the textured area of the storage locker, if any one can confirm this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
Mike

First off, thank you so much for taking the time to explain this problem. After sending the email with this issue and pictures attached to both info@hydroturf.com and the dealer who I purchased through (Jimmy's Jet Sports), Jim finally got back to me and said he spoke with Clara from hydro-turf and that you are working to resolve the issue.
I now understand how the rear piece, where the seats are, can be a solid piece, and the ski locker can not. I would prefer the diamond pattern to be the same throughout the boat, so just as you expected, I would prefer the two pieces over one solid piece with the pattern incorrect. The two piece thing wasn't much of an issue for me, the fact that it wasnt covering up the non-skid surface, and the pattern didnt line up correctly, was. I'm sure whatever caused my pieces to be too short is the same thing that caused the patterns to not line up correctly.
The dimensions you have above are very close (closer than what I have sitting in my living room) to the ski locker on my boat. I'm not sure how the machine that cuts the pieces works, but the only thing I can figure why mine is so short is that something happened when it had to switch to the second piece I suppose. The two pieces I have together measure 41 1/2" L X 10 3/4" wide. It is actually just a hair under 10 3/4" wide but not so much that I would call it 10 5/8".
I also noticed that the diameter of the hole for the handle is a half inch too big. The diameter for the piece I have now appears to be 3", while the handle on my ski locker is a 2 1/2" diameter. I understand this is probably so there can be some error in the cut and it still line up ok, but since non-skid surface is completely around this handle, I would prefer the diameter to be closer to 2 1/2", maybe 2 3/4" at most.
Just in case you need this information as well for the handle hole cut, I will go ahead and measure the distance from all sides of the non skid surface to center of hole for handle.
The correct measurements I have for my ski-locker on my 2008 150 speedster are as follows:
43 1/4" L X 11" W - 2 1/2" Ski handle Diameter.
Distance from bow end side of ski locker non-skid surface to center of hole for handle
21 5/8"
Distance from aft end side of ski locker non-skid surface to center of hole for handle
21 5/8"
Distance from starboard side of ski locker non-skid surface to center of hole for handle
8 3/4"
Distance from port side of ski locker-non-skid surface to center of hole for handle
2 1/4"
If anyone else who has this same model boat wouldn't mind measuring theirs as well, I'm sure Mike would be greatly appreciative. I'm human and have been known to make many mistakes but these measurements are as accurrate as I can get them.
If you need anymore information from me Mike, don't hesitate to ask! You should have my email address that I check religiously. I look forward to getting my correctly cut ski locker piece and finally trying out my new hydro-turf!
Thanks again,
Thomas Brindisi

After trying it out this weekend, I have to say I love this stuff! Much more comfortable then the non skid surface and MUCH easier to clean. If it holds up as well as everyone on this forum claims, I am definately one happy customer!
Mike,
Look forward to ordering more of your product when the time comes. I also dropped your template off at UPS on saturday, so you should be getting it soon. Thanks again!

Just wanted to let everyone know Mike from hydroturf took care of me! He sent me a sheet of hydroturf for me to cut myself just in time for labor day weekend.
