hey just wanted to let those out there who were like me and wanted to know more about the performance of the new 255hp. i have driven an 08' with 215hp and rest assured this new 255hp option is definately worth it! i recently bought my own blue 09 with a tower and it is fantastic. the new hull is great and offers an excellant ride with extremely nimble handeling. the boat reaches plain faster than anything i have been in and reaches 30 mph under 4.5 seconds. although i am at 6000 feet it still accelerates VERY well but while new and only 2 hours on the engine...it would only rev 7350 at top speed. its max speed achieved was 44 @ 7350. after break in i would anticipate a 50+ mph boat. the wake produced by the boat was very sufficiant for wakeboarding and a blast for kneeboarding and tubing. my only suggestion is use 60-70 feet of rope to avoid jet blast! if anyone has any questions or comments please let me know.

I just had my new 09 C180SE (215hp) in the water for the first time tonight. Highest rev achieved was 7450rpm and I was going 42mph or so.

Guys,
I'm pretty sure the MPEM is programmed to limit RPM for the first 7 hours?? After that you should see approx. 7950 for the 215 and a little more on the 255.
