I debated on several colors and styles, but finally decided on the dark grey molded diamond. What do you think?

Not sure to buy grey or dark grey.....

How is the Dark Grey on bare feet?
Does it get too hot?

The turf doesn't get too hot -- we had black on our 160 Speedster. We now have dark grey on our 180 Challenger. Both colors have been fine.

My HT order was delivered today,
Same as Orginal poster - Dark Gray molded diamond.
All spread out to straighten.
Looking forward to install.

I'm debating between the diamond cut and straight grooves. Any pros or cons of either. I had straight cut in my 96 because they didnt have diamond and was happy with it. Any suggestions?

I went with the straight cut in ours. I think it just comes down to personal preference, I don't see any really advantage of one over the other.

I got a sample of both the molded and cut and my personal preference was the molded thinking it might hold up better long term. It still looks great and is the single best investment I have made in my boat so far. My wife just mentioned it again last weekend that she is sure glad we purchased it, since it was very slick in the boat before. It is not hot at all. Just be prepared to get delayed at the ramp and every dock you stop at, since someone is always asking questions about it. Good luck!

I know this is a personal taste kind of question, but I have a 1996 Sportster with purple and yellow decals with yellow/white interior. I am thinking of the molded diamond, but am not sure if grey or dark grey would clash with the boats colors. Anyone seen or have this color combination?

Welcome to the site. Personally I think it would look okay. Just to be sure give Hydro-Turf a call and ask them to send you some samples, this way you can see how it will actually look. Keep us posted on your decision.

I actually found a page on their website to ask for sample(s) in molded diamond grey & dark grey, cut purple, molded groove. I will keep you all posted on my decision or pics when its installed!

Stephen, you were my inspiration.

So we got our HydroTurf installed tonight. First night home with the boat and around 70 degrees. I have a video as I am not great with descriptions of the process.

Honestly, if you buy the pre-cut kits for your boat with the 3M backing, you are gold. Ours matched up perfect with the areas that had some texture already applied from the factory. So we had patterns already in place for placement.

My best tip is to tear some of the backing off and put under your fingers allowing you to hold onto the turf while your partner peels the rest of the backing off. This works great on the big pieces. Start wtih the small pieces and work up to the big ones. We used a rolling pin to roll out the pieces, but honestly, walking on the pieces should have worked fine as well.
