I am interested in purchasing my first water craft. I am considering picking up a 2006+ challenger 180. Would this be a good first boat? I'm currently living in the Carribbean for the next 2 years and would like to have it for island hopping, going out for little day trips with people as well as so water sports. I was looking at the for sale section of the site as well as ebay.
Also has anyone had experience with shipping boats. I was looking to purchase the boat in The US, Florida i found a few nice ones for sale and wanted to bring it to Saint kitts, which is right next to saint martin. I also found one for sale in Puerto Rico?
Thanks
Joseph

MINE 2008 BRAND NEW 180 CHALLENGER WAS LOADING FROM BALTIMORE PORT TO GREECE ATHENS WITH A COST OF 4209$ FROM DEALER TO DESTINATION PORT INCLUDING THE INSURANCE.
MY SHIPPING COMPANY WAS TRANS GLOBAL AUTO LOGISTICS GRAND PRAIRE TX75050
PH 972-602-1670.
FOR THE BOAT IS A FAMILY SPORT BOAT THAT YOU WILL ENJOY IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS. RECOMMANDED THE SE MODEL WITH THE DEPTH FINDER THE CARPET THE BIMINI TOP AND THE STEREO WITH REMOTE FACTORY INSTALLED .
TRY TO PUT A SECOND BATTERY EXACTLY AS THE OEM AND BEHIND THE OEM WITH A DOUBLE BATTERY SWITCH BECAUSE THE STEREO CONSUMES A LOT OF BATTERY WITH NOT RUNNING ENGINE.
I USE THE BOAT IN THE AEGEAN SEA AND THE ENGINE CLOSED COOLANT SYSTEM IS PERFECT FOR SALT SEA USE BUT YOU MUST FLUSH THE SYSTEM FOR THE EXHAUST AND THE INTERCOOLER.
EVEN WITH 5 BEAUFORTS WIND THE BOAT RUNS GREAT WITH 30MPH BUT THIS DEPENDS FROM THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE WAVES ,USUALLY IN GREECE WE HAVE 5-6 METERS DISTANCE.
