I am probably going to sell my boat, but I really need to know where the hell is the damn hour counter. Or does the boat need to have one of those stupid "computers" to be able to know this simple fact? Thanks and greetings from beautiful Mexico!!
anybody knows where the hour counter is in a 2006 C180?!

Our '08 180 Challenger has the hour meter built into the digital gauges on the dash. The '06 180 Challenger has the analog gauges so I don't think there is a way to get the hours off the boat without taking it to your dealer. I believe the dealer should be able to hook up to it and let you know.

Thanks Kev, I really appreciate it since I've spent hours looking for the counter. However, it is lamentable the way dealers are here in Mexico. I live in Mexico City, and the only authorized dealer to lay hands on the boats is in Guadalajara, about 5 or 6 hours away. The fun part comes when you drive all the way there to see that those dumbasses don't have a clue about what they are doing. Heck, I ordered a spare key for my boat 2 years ago and haven't had the chance to lay hands on it because those guys still don't have the damn coding machine. Also, my boat swallowed a rock that destroyed my wear ring and had really nasty cavitation and loss of power and speed issues. Without knowing the cause of my problems, I took it to them and they said everything was all right, that the problem was that it was being used in sweet water!!!! Later, thanks to these wonderful forums, I learned that it was the wear ring and immediately replaced it.
This is my story with my 180 and the incompetent dealers in Mexico... It has been so bad, that every single maintenance procedure on the boat has been done by my son and I, we know the boat inside out now hahaha. Well, thanks again Kev...
