Cover drying

The season is almost there! On my Challenger 180 2005, I have two quick questions:
1. my original boat cover seems to be drying with the years of sun and it leaves a little powder on the boat every time I take it off. Does anyone know of a product to give it a second life, some kind of conditioner or treatment to give it back its original condition?
2. I just installed a wake tower on it which looks great! do you know of any universal cover for the tower and/or the wakeboartd racks to protect them when I'm on the road?
Tks in advance guys!

2. Which tower did you go with, can you post pics? I would check with Terry at Poppy Company to see if they have something suitable for you, http://poppycompany.com/.

I went with the Joystick tower. I think it looks great and it's a solid one. Here are some pics without the racks. The racks are not installed yet but they will be as soon as I find covers for them. They are standard racks, one for two wakeboards and one combo (wake/knee).

Beautifully done, mate!!! Congrats!!! However, how on the world did you get access to get the front support plates placed?! I never got to figure that out when I did my tower. I had to design it in order to make the tower receive the most amount of stress possible. I anybody wants to see a pic of it I uploaded one in a thread called homemade wakeboard tower. Cheers to everyone!!
It wasn't easy to figure out. The best way I found to do it was to remove the back of the bow seats and do one big round hole behind each with a Dremel and fiberglass bit. When I was done installing the tower, I've put some kind of a white rubber edge around the hole to give it a finish and keep a permanent access if need to tight the bolts in the future. Now all I have to do is remove the back of the seat If I need.
