Can you post some pictures of the cracks when you get a chance? I am assuming they are "stress" cracks, we had some of these on our 2000 160 Speedster, showed up around year 3 or 4. We were able to get them covered under the 5 year hull warranty, so I would fight back a bit if your dealer tries to say they are not going to cover them. All they need to do is snap some pictures, they will mail them to SeaDoo and SeaDoo will make a decision if they will cover them under warranty. Personally I wouldn't take no for an answer especially with the boat less than a year old.
Here are some pix. Sorry, my camera is not that great with close up pix.

Pic 2 I have to ask, did you hit the dock or anything real hard in the area of the rub rail? The reason why I ask is because from the origination of the "spiders" I think this is what the dealer might ask too since there is really not any pressure points securing anything to the gelcote in this area but I could be wrong. There might be screws behind the outer piece of the rub rail that hold the inner piece of the rub rail down to the gelcote. Hopefully your dealer won't give you any problems and also fix this since they will be repairing the other 2.
Good luck, keep us posted and let us known what your dealer says. If they give you any problems then take it up with BRP directly yourself.

Thanks. Pics 1 and 3 look like the root cause was things being overtightened. Pic 1 looks like they screwed the light pole holder down too tight since the crack is originating from underneath it. Pic 3 looks like they screwed either your carpet snap in too tight or either overtightened your hatch to the gas cover since these are where the "spiders" are originating from? I would think these two should definitely be repaired under warranty with no problems.

Pic2 I remember bumping into the dock when it was very choppy, I have to reposition my bumpers, they were hanging too low. That incident though, I think, would not be the cause of the cracks. There are fasteners(rivets) attaching the rub rails to the side of the boat. I also remember a thread here or another group about "air or space" between the fiberglass and gelcoat could be the culprit. This might be the case on this(PIC2), also with PIC 3. There is no crack originating from the carpet button snaps.

Thanks! Cool, you don't have any cracks.
From now on though, I'd start inspecting my boat after each use.
Dealer has my boat right now. They will call the Bombardier and wrote my claim as a "courtesy repair". Hopefully to get an answer by tomorrow.

Kudos to your dealer and BRP for doing the right thing, I am glad they are getting it repaired for you!

Are you going to have your doo winterized? I plan to park her outside. I need at least two of my cars inside the garage because it gets too cold here.
Two dealers(nearest to me) I've called both asked, "Why did you not buy your boat from us"?, when I inquired on how to claim warranty work on gelcoat cracks. Both claimed to be fully booked! So finally, I called Corona Motorsports, told them I bought the boat from them and mentioned the problem. Service guy said come on in,let;s see what we can do! They are 102miles from where I live. But it;s worth the drive. I saved a lot of money when I made the purchase then, and now they proved me that they really take care of their customers even after the buy. I am hoping to go to a dealership near me but no luck. Hey, 2-hr drive with a dealer that will take care of me? I can deal with that!

I agree, it sounds like it was well worth the drive! The after purchase experience should be just as important as the purchase experience. So far we have been happy with our dealer too. I have heard bad things from others about our dealer, but luckily we haven't experienced that yet.

Our boat is stored in the garage, but we are still going to have it winterized just for piece of mind. I will let you know what our dealer is going to charge us once I take it in. I should be taking it in within the next couple of weeks, hopefully before they get too busy.

Winterize charge was $165. I was excited to pick up my baby but was upset to find out that BRP only authorized the repair on the floor cracks(PIC#3). I was told by my dealer that "gelcoat/stress cracks are not covered under the mfr warranty...he added..."look it up...it's stated in your owner's manual". However, he advised me to call BRP directly if I am not satisfied. I did, and spoke with Veronica. She could not find a claim under my boat's # so she gave me a case#. My dealer called about the case# and got the same answer: NO. Hmm, I am wondering why they repaired the gelcoat cracks on the floor if "gelcoat cracks are not covered under the warranty?
Kevin, is your contact guy still with BRP?

Here is another post, http://seadoosportbo...lems-t1510.html, obviously this is a much more severe case and the 04 200's were known to have hull problems.

This is what I was afraid of since these are the same type of answers I got the first time too. Here is another post regarding stress cracks, http://seadoosportbo...over-t1879.html. I haven't had to call BRP in a while (fingers crossed) so I am not sure if Remy is still there, but you can definitely give it a try; his contact information is here, http://seadoosportbo...a...post&p=1402. If you get Remy on the phone then direct him to this post, he is aware of our website and it my help the claim to see some discussion about it. I would keep pressing on with BRP, hopefully by you speaking with them directly they will be able to get them covered. Keep us posted!

Thanks Kevin! Remy- does he work with customer service or tech support? I was not able to him today but another BRP agent that stress cracks are not covered.
