Ya I was thinking that for a temporary fix till winter. Might work for a while?? Thares a black plastic housing around the steering shaft I think I have to pull the steering wheel and make more clearance from plastic housing . Thanks.I haven't noticed it on our boat. Have you tried using anything like WD-40 to see if you can stop the squeak?

Let us know how that works out, it resolves the problem or if just stops it temporarily. Also is your boat still under warranty, if so what does you dealer have to say about the problem?
Try NOT to use WD-40 as it is a water attractant, instead use a silicone based lubricant such as Sea Doo lube or whatever is available at your local auto parts place. The steering wheel shaft rubs on the plastic the lube works for several weeks at least. We've told Sea Doo about it however its a prebuilt unit, blah, blah so don't expect a lot to be done about it.

I have noticed my steering wheel squeak at times also, sometimes worse than others! Usually I'm driving so I dont notice it!
I thought it's just my (bad) luck! I, too, has that irritating noise! But pass the wake zone...w/ the so-so-radio blasting and the screaming engine...I do not notice it anymore. I am planning to take it to the dealer for some other issues. So, I might as well have them check it.
