Another season on the water, and another set of electrical problems - actually, the same problems, just continuing to occur, again, and again.
Great boat when it works but as far as reliability goes it is more of a Yugo than a Toyota.
On second battery this summer already and voltage light comes on after between 30 and 60 minutes on the water. Still getting through season by recharging battery at slip since alternator or voltage regulator evidently does not work and battery will not charge normally. Basically have been able to leave our cove and boat no further from our slip than we are willing to paddle in...
Other problems (ICS and ski well) tolerable, but expectation is that a company that also makes regional jets might have an alternator that works.
Anyone else with similar issues?
Not consistent with BRP advertising and will pull boat out at end of season for trade.

I have the same question, is this a problem that the dealer has not been able to fix? It sounds like it might be a rectifier as the charging circuit is magneto driven. There is no alternator or generator in the conventional sense. Can you tell us the history of repairs for this specific problem?
