So the entire power band is fine, before 4k, and after 4k, but throttling past 4k, you get a hickup, like fuel or spark is being cut, throttle past it, and it sorts out and everything is fine and dandy. Any ideas?
Plugs and fuel filter are new. Both OEM.
Also, my boat used to go to just under 6k RPM (240 EFI mercury on 2003 challenger 2000), since we removed and replaced motor (to fix the fiberglass leaks on sea doo's crappy hull design), I top out at 5k rpm, and top speed went from 53 or so to 46.
Throttle cable not adjusted correctly to open throttle completely?

I would say this definitely could be possible, have you had a chance to check this?Throttle cable not adjusted correctly to open throttle completely?
