I will be replacing all of the spark plugs as well, but would really like to have the fuel problem fixed before I change them.
I first plan on bypassing the fuel pumps and feeding gas directly into the carbs via external tank. Should I use pre-mixed gas/oil for that? If so, what mix?
I know that I have pressure at the pick up pump. Sounds to me like the carb floats are empty.
Thanks!!

A couple of weeks ago, I changed the fuel filters and inline oil filter. Afterwards I started it, and let it idle for about 10 min. Shut it down and put it up till the following weekend, when I took it out. Once in the water, we started away from the dock, I noticed it sounded like it was missing. Tried to get it on plane and it sputtered and died, then would not re-start. If cranked for a bit, it would fire, but not start. Now it will turn over, but not fire at all. Seems like it isnt getting any gas. I will be working on it this weekend and would like some advice on things to look for.

Just had this problem and it was the fuel pump on an Optimax 200. The small fuel pump that has the small fuel filter attached to it. I put the part on and it fired instantly. Try taking it off and use a second person to turn the key over to see if you are getting any suction...
