I think what your hearing is noise traveling up the gunwales of your boat... At certain rpms the boat is known to vibrate badly!! Im going to address this problem soon on mine! Having to much fun dooing!I have about 25 hours on my 180 challenger 215hp 4-tec scic engine and have a very loud engine noise at about 6000 rpm. The noise is not noticable below about 5700 or above 6300rpm. I have checked the engine compartment for loose or vibrating components and found every thing to be properly secured. Any ideas on the possible cause??

Theres is not to many options?? Just finding some product thats light and 100% fire proof. mine hasent been that bad. I can barely hear the radio at 6000 rpm.Thanks. What options are available to fix this problem??
