As a Master Electrician I would not approve this item for the boat! Just more crap you dont need on board! .15amp 15vdc 2watts per hour. This laptop takes 3.43amps 19vdc 65.17watts per hour. Solar panels are exspensive! If your going to buy one buy a fold up one thats a least 10-15watts per hour. @ $130-$200.Looks interesting, I would like to know how well this works too!

I agree with Dale, a 15 watt charger that can be protected by folding when not in use works the best. Even then you are barely maintaining, there isn't anything left over for actual use.

I'm glad we have a Master Electrician here! So will this $60 charger do the trick while the doo's in hibernation? Low temp here is in the 30's. I plan to park the doo outside this winter season .

Thats a perfect charger for over the winter. As long as they dont over charge the battery. Automatic Shut down at full charge. Take battery out of Doo and store in garage or basement If possible. Dont put battery on a concrete floor.I'm glad we have a Master Electrician here! So will this $60 charger do the trick while the doo's in hibernation? Low temp here is in the 30's.
