Hi Folks:
Just wondering what would be a good choice for an anchor for a 1998 Challenger 1800?
Any preferences?
Rope width and rope length?
Different styles---- weighted and of course the other ones that latch into the bottom.
Mostly needed to "beach" off a sandy shore ...we have ordered one of those auger types you auger into the beach but perhaps need another secure redundancy to leave in water for a few days at a time.
Thanks...

We use an anchor similar to this one, http://www.westmarin...mp;classNum=704, for our 180 Challenger. I have a chain attached to it like shown in the picture and use 100 ft worth of rope. I am not planning on dropping anchor in anything deeper than that, we usually anchor in 50 feet or less so it is less rope to pull back up.
