If the tines are broken then I would say you are probably going to be better off replacing the grate because if you were able to suck up something this time then most likely it will happen again. It might be better to invest the money now instead of causing more damage and costing more money in the long run. Take it to your local dealer, have them look at the damage and give you quote on what the repair costs might be.

Yeah, I kinda planned on replacing the grate at a minimum, or could it be repaired? Also, are there fixed grates that you know of? I found the inlet grate assembly for $212 which I guess is not too bad, but if I could get one of those 11 tine stainless steal ones that are fixed I might prefer that instead of the hydrosurge one.
Anymore advice anyone?
