Hey guys!
This is my first post but I have been reading the forums for quite some time. Great site. I am on my second Seadoo boat and could not be happier with it. I have a '06 180se blue and white. I have the factory carpet and am looking to compliment the color with hydroturf on the swim platform and boarding step.
Is the dark grey turf closest to the factory grey carpet? Also . . . which pattern is the preference? I had the molded groove on my old speedster but was thinking of trying the diamond pattern? Then again the groove may make the platform appear wider like a "big" girl with horizontal stripes!
My final question is this. Being such a small area, is the 3M backing worth the $$ or should I just use some contact cement from my local hardware store?
Any help will be appreciated!

Welcome and thanks for your first post! Sounds like you want to do exactly what we did to our 180 Challenger when we got it. Take a look in the Gallery, http://seadoosportbo...o...eq=sc&cat=6 (pictures dated: May 21 2008, 10:12 AM), at the pictures of our boat. We put the dark gray on the swim platform, step and on the "foot rest" parts inside the boat. I would highly recommend going with the 3M self-adhesive, it will make installation a lot easier and will ensure you have a proper bond so it will stay down for a longer period of time.
Good luck with your decision, don't forgot about taking advantage of your 15% discount. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks, Kevin.
Is your HT the molded or cut groove? I have decided to "stick" with the 3M and I believe I will get the light grey. . . thinking it may be a little cooler on the feet.
I emailed Mike @ hydroturf and found that I could not get the 15% discount unless I purchased the entire mat set. Also he quoted me $85 for just the platform with 3M. A-D performance has it for $50 without the 3M or $75 with it.
Thanks for running the site. It is a great asset to have in my toolbox.

Mine is their standard cut, didn't request anything special. We had black in our previous boat, http://seadoosportbo...droturf-t6.html, and it stayed just as cool, this stuff doesn't really heat up.
Good luck with your decision, I know you will enjoy it once you get it down.
