WELL just like the topic says. i took my boat out today just bought it thursday. took it out when i got home thursday for about an hour and it ran like a dream. i loved it. well today a couple of buddies and i take it out and ride for about 2 hours and my engines go dead. i pop the back and look and there is oil everywhere! i get pulled back to take marina so i can load up and try to start both motors. the right one fires right up and runs great but the left will turn over but wont start. and before i went out today i filled the gas up and filled to oil resivor up... but when the motors died the gas was about half empty and the oil resivor was completly empty. and also there was oil all in the motor compartment. i need some advise on this please anyone?
Probably the oil line that goes to the engine got disconnected. That’s bad news. Do not try to run the engines any more. Follow the lines that go from the oil tank to the engine to see if they are connected. Also try taking out the PTO cover and the spark plugs of engine that is not cranking. Once the PTO cover is off try rotating the drive shaft by hand. It should be easy to do with the spark plugs out. If is stuck you are looking at an engine seizure due to no oil. You will need an engine rebuild.
Keep us posted.

hey thanks man. i have always worked on motors, well dirtbike and quads. this is a little bit different. where exactly would the connection be located on the motor?
Go to the download tab here on this web site and download the Shop Manual for the 98 Challenger 1800. Look under lubrication system. There you will see a drawig of how the lines go. I think that will be better than me explaing how they go. Make soure that you are loged in to the site before you try to download the file.
