while cruising the other night as fast as I could grab it, the dock line blew over and right up the intake it went
Does anyone have any suggestions how to get it out, has this happended to anyone else that can give some advise

I sucked up a shit load of ski rope. Hat to get it towed back to shore and took a good half hour with a box cutter, chipping at it piece by piece. Good luck.I am ALWAYS careful of dock line, its bad enough being in the Delaware River in Philly with a Jet Drive

Yea, I had this happen with a wakeboard rope right when I got my boat, I just cut it out little by little with a really sharp knife well I was in the water, so it took a long time of holding my breath and making a few cuts and then coming back up. Hopefully you can get yours out and do it out of the water. You may, if the rope got sucked way in, have some impeller damage, I just experienced this when I sucked up a small piece of trash rope that was floating in the bay. See my post on impeller repair for this info and costs if you do have that damage http://seadoosportbo...pair-t2032.html. Good luck.

You could always take the spark plugs out so theres no compression in the clylinders. So the impeller will rotate as you pull rope out. I started to take rope in board as I forgot about it a couple of times!I am ALWAYS careful of dock line, its bad enough being in the Delaware River in Philly with a Jet Drive

Dale has a great idea to help get the rope out in one piece. Something we have done is make up a tool. Basically its an inspection sticker remover fastened to an 18" piece of thin aluminum bar. The blade can be stored away safely. Remember that the bolts holding the grate on will usually break if you try to remove them so try to get the rope off going through the grate. If you have an older unit with the plastic sleeve around the shaft be sure to remove all of the plastic, it is designed for one use anyway and won't affect operation of the boat if it is removed.
