I recently acquired this boat and the Starboard engine will not crank. I removed the engine and disassembled to inspect. I was surprised to find that the inside looks almost brand new. The pistons and cylinders are smooth on the sides, only a small amount of blackening on the top of pistons. The rings dont even look broken in. I rebuilt the carburetor and now waiting on the gasket kit to reassemble. I dont see a link to the shop manual in the manuals section. Id like to do all of the tuning myself once I find out why it wont start. I was also given three 717 motors with the boat and plan on inspecting them and rebuilding of necessary to have them on standby. Im recovering the seats myself which is turning out very good considering that I got a quick lesson on the sewing machine. Having worked in a upholstery shop for a few months 30 years ago and watching YouTube videos has helped a lot.
The link to the service manual would be greatly appreciated.
