I recently bought a 2007 Utopia 205 SE which hasn't been used in a couple years but was gone through by a local SeaDoo-knowledgeable mechanic in the fall.
As you know there are a number of round zincs around the jets. Mine look new, but some are tight, some are loose - meaning the fasteners are tight, but the zincs can spin around, with flat washers floating there,as though the bolts are too long and bottomed in their holes.
On the other hand, it seems if the bolts are short and tight against new zincs, that the bolts will loosen as the zincs deteriorate. So are the tight ones wrong, with too short bolts? Or should there be threadloc in there to hold the bolts as the zincs perform their function?
Any thoughts on this?
Anyone know the torque? I just downloaded the shop manual so I guess I could look it up ...
Thanks,
Jonas
