So I had the speedster out this weekend and the far left seat bottom came off. and the driver seat bottom is loose. also one of the grab handles is pretty loose. Are these things covered under warranty? Also the fuel guage,speedometer and hour meter do not work correctly.. when i put it on the water saturday the hour meter read 7 hours. On sunday it read 6 hours after about 2 hours of driving it now reads 7 again.
Does anyone know if I can get a depth finder transducer for this boat? I see the digital readout has a place for it but can i get one for it? thanks in advance.

I would say as long as you are still in the year warranty or if you purchased the B.E.S.T. warranty then these items should be covered. Take it up to your dealer, let them have a look at it. The dealer should be able to give you an idea where to get a depth finder transducer, it might be possible to use one from the other models. Our 180 Challenger has one so it might be possible to use this same one.

The depth finder module is available for any 150 Speedster with the digital dash (2007 or 2008). The price for the transducer which mounts inside the hull is about $330.00 plus tax. The boat will have to be hooked up to B.U.D.S. to activate the module. Obviously that requires a trip to your local sport boat dealer. It is the same arrangement as is on the 180 Challenger SE and GTX Limited in that it plugs into the wiring harness and is read on the digital dash. The hour meter can be reflashed at your local dealer too, that should not be a cost to you. Hopefully the dealer has the latest version of B.U.D.S., version 2.3.19.

Thanks for the info Keviseeb... $330 seems kinda high for the transducer. Especially if it only works as good as the rest of my digital guages. I just talked to the service dept. of the dealership i am taking the boat to for the service. They said they are 2 weeks out. I guess i will just have to do witout for a few weeks... as long as I have it back by the 4th.

Oary77, please make sure they reflash the computer and turn the depthfinder module on, the issue with the wrong hours WILL go away and the gauges will function correctly including the compass rose assuming the latest version of B.U.D.S. is used.

Just got the first 10 hour service done. $145. Also had a list of warranty repairs.
Seat cushions came off---repaired under warranty
Speedo,fuel,hour gauges incorrect---repaired under warranty
engine cover release cable sticky---repaired under warranty
grab handles loose---repaired under warranty

This dealer isn't a normal dealership..They are known to be a lil shady... But its the only one round here...and I love my DOO!! Trust me if VA was a lil closer my boat would go there! I just wanted to get my first 10 hr. service done there for warrnty reasons. from now on it goes to my local boat shop.

I'm sorry to hear that but keep in mind that the 10 HR service does not have to be done by a dealer to maintain warranty coverage! In your owners manual it is recommended not mandatory. Keep records if you do your own 10 HR service even if you do it yourself. I know most people use the 10 HR service to get warranty items performed, if the boat was water tested and checked out as they all should be then the warranty claims should be none or almost none anyway. For anyone who does their own maintenance or has it done at a non Seadoo dealer please check the rear cone correctly, i.e. pressure test it. Water leaking into the thrust washers and bearings never ends well!
