I would like to install a depth gauge inside the hull of my 1997 Challenger 1800. I would appreciate any and all guidance in selecting the proper in hull location for the puck. Thanks for your assistance.

I would have look at where SeaDoo is installing them on the newer boats, our 180 Challenger has a depth gauge so this would be good point of reference.

G'day, i have installed my transducer under the front of the ski locker in the middle.
works ok but am going to try in front of the motors between fuel tank and motors. Most people recommend that you place it in different spots to try it after trying it over the side to get an idea of how good it should read.
You can fill the bilge with water to try it or i have read of some people putting it in a plastic bag filled with water to try.
