I got my speedster out for the first time this season yesterday. Runs just as good as it did when I stored it. There was a lil concern about the battery not being good. When I stored it I left the battery in and just switched off the master disconnect switch. I was un aware that I should have removed the battery and put a charge on it monthly. But luckily It fired right up and all is well. Hope everyone has a good Boatng season

Glad to hear you had a good day out. We took our new 180 Challenger out yesterday for the first time. It was a significant ride difference from our 2000 Speedster, we were quite impressed.

My first time out this season was on the Memorial Day weekend. Mine fired right up and everything was good. When I first started it there must have been to much oil in it since it smoked alot at first but cleared up an ran great. I was great weekend to be out on the water and a bunch of us camped out. Didn't get out last weekend and can't this weekend but hopefully the following

cool - camping and boating have got to be the best way to spend a weekend - we have just bought a new truck so that we can tow further afield - south of france next year for a month if we can get the holidays - we occasionaly camp on the beach with the boat here in the uk when it gets warm enough - we have one small inconvenience here and thats a 7m tidal range on the beach - so you have to pick your spot carefully!

Yeap we have the tide change on the Hudson River too. It's so funny to see some people that don't take notice of that. I can't count how many boats I've seen high and dry during low tide They just end up spending a bit more time on land than expected. Luckly for them in the camp area the shore is sand and for the most part so it the anchoring area so they are safe.

WOW!!!! if I see a 2.9 ft tidal change I consider it huge. A low tide of -.09 ft means great shelling, I can't imagine 7m!. I think I'd be able to walk out to the oil rigs. . . well maybe not that far

Hope all is well!!! I did the exact same thing, but ended up having to replace the battery! It worked the first couple of times going out then just slowly died Just a heads up!!!!!

You should check out the Bay of Fundy which lies between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia up here in Canada. There are places there where the tides vary by more than 50 feet!

wow thats a big rise and fall - must be one of the worlds largest - the curents must be impressive - we have some 8knot tidal currents on large springs whcih can be fun!

And I thought the 5 feet tide change we have here is a lot! Just remember that when you "unbeach" your boat that you put it in forward without starting it of course and push the boat backwards as far as it is convenient to reverse wash any sediment or sand out of the jet drive. Another way is to get in the water behind the boat once it is ungrounded, put it in forward with the engine off, and force water through the drive with your hands to accomplish the same thing.
