Good day folks! My battery light came on today and I have no idea why! Does anyone know what cause this? Come to think of it, how does the battery charge? There is no alternator, correct?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There is a battery monitor on some of the newer models that will illuminate when the battery voltage is outside the normal operating range.
The alternator is replaced by a stator within the boats. The basic operation is the same as an automotive alternator, but the setup is different.
In brief, the engines in our boats rotate a magnet around a series of coiled wires. An electric current created by this motion is subsequently rectified and regulated through secondary power electronics providing "juice" for the onboard electronics and battery charge.
