Called the Dealer and they wanted $8.50......called a closer Marine store and they wanted $15........went to a Local Marine supply/storage shop and got them for $11.50. Couldn't be bothered driving around to get them for a coupld bucks cheaper.

Okay.....started it up and ran it for a few minutes.....did this a few times. (With the water running) just in case you ask.
Anyway.....it doesn't sound all that good. Well...it sounds fine but what I mean is that it seems to sporadically cough..... I am guessing this might be because of the fogging spray they use in the engine?
Tomorrow or whenever it doesn't rain next....I will change the plugs and see what happens.

Does it smoke from the fogging?

No worse than when its in the water if thats what you mean? Its smokin....but not excessively........smells good anyway!Does it smoke from the fogging?
It just seems to have a "cough" my buddy says that it probaly just needs to be opened up on the water to clean it out from sitting etc...... he's probably right. I will clean the plugs that are in there now..............take it out for a good run and then change to the new plugs I have.
hope all goes well................

There are so many conflicting stories about maintenance, prices, winterizing......too much... actually annoying!
I called the Dealer and asked what they did for winterizing. They fogged, gas stablizer, battery, and lube job. No oil changes. I asked when they do this and he said after 75hours is fine.......... at least on an '03 Speedster. It is not even part of their maintenance scheduled, you have to request it. My problem is that without an hour counter, how DOO you know? I take an approx. guess probably the same as most of us but I just find all of the recommendations different, especially when you look at the Manual. You would think that the Dealer's would have a specific program for the boats based on the manuals......not that I want to give them all my friggin Beer money...but still.
I can't believe the difference in price for Plugs from one place to the next... ridiculous $8.50 - $25 for the same flippin plug!!!!!!!!

Dealers are like that sometimes I have found.
The only way to tell how many hours is to take it to the dealer and let him hook up his Smartcraft machine to it. Or, install your own hourmeter and start keeping up with it.
