New to the forum, but I have a question. My newly bought seadoo 150 seat cushion came off under a passenger in a turn yesterday.
Any advice on getting it back on? Those little plastic rivets seem hell bent on undermining my attempts...
Thanks for your help

Kidding.
I had one come out too, just have your dealer replace it under warranty. Once they fall out you really need to replace the plastic rivet.

Yea,
I figured that would be the thing to do... The rivets aren't broken though, I was just hoping I wouldn't have to make the hour long drive to the dealer

The problem is I don't see how you can pull the seat out without destroying the rivets. It looks like they have been designed to strip when pulled, so getting them back in is a lost cause.
Sorry, sounds like you are in for a trip, but it's probably the only way.

I bought my 150 March 31st of this year and have had every seat come off.
You can pull the plastic things up with a pair of needle nose pliers and some forearms . Grab it between the spirals (the top part) as that needs to get back into the seat. Those little guys are about two inches long so keep pulling!
I took it to the dealer the second time and they put some new ones on (lasted the next boat ride) and they accidently dropped one into the drain under the drivers seat wich was fun to get out of the other end.
The last time I went to the dealer, they were out of the plastic things, but said since the boat was under warranty that they could order me entirely new seats (with fresh plastic things). I passed on the seats but asked them to get a big bag of the plastic things.
I've been usings a little super glue and prayer on the re-insertion of the plastic things. Once you get them pulled out of the boat, put a little crazy glue on the top of the plastic thing and give it a half turn into the seat cushion. then repeat for the other two. Finaly line them all up with the holes in the boat and beat them down with your palm.
My last attempt has kept them on a couple of rides. They still have some little spurs left on them.
I'm still looking for a permanent solution.
