When I took the boat out today the alarm went off when I started it and then I pressed the FUEL WARNING SYSTEM button to stop the sound. About a half hour later the alarm went off again so I pressed the FUEL WARNING SYSTEM button again to stop the sound. WHen It was bring the boat in for the day I tied it up to the dock and turned the engine off. When i started it back up the alarm went off again but this time when I pressed the "FUEL WARNING SYSTEM" button the alarm continued????? Is a a gas or engine problem??
In the manual the FUEL WARNING SYSTEM button is suppose to beep but the sound I hear is a constant sound.
Thanks
Mike

I ran across the same sitation,,,first remedy was: be sure th shift lever is in neutral,,,second test for problem was to be sure the fuel level is high,, I found that the alarm will go off no matter whether or not th fuel sender/gauge is working properly when the fuel actually gets low, flipping the low fuel swith will shut the alarm off,,I too thought the alarm was telling me ''''over heat problem" only to find it is was simply the fuel was too low , even tho a visual look at the fuel tank appears to have lots of fuel,, remember , 10 gallons iIS LOW FUEL CONDITION.I just bought a used Challenger 2000 (year also 2000). When I start the engine a constant alarm sounds until you push the "FUEL WARNING SYSTEM" button beside the steering wheel. The guy I bought it from said it was a warning alarm for "FUEL WARNING SYSTEM", but after reading the manual it might mean engine overheating.

Have the same problem.. one is if you hit the fuel switch quickly it will turn off.. if you wait a bit .. it will not turn off until you turn off the engine.. its the fuel sender in the tank.. it needs to be replace.. I even used a laser therm on my engine just to make sure the engine was not over heating.. gettin a new sender in a week or two.. I called and emailed seadoo. and called many dealers and everyone said over heat. even Seadoo could not tell me the beep codes.. but to be safe.. check oil reserve tank on engine, check temp, if all seems fine. its the sender in the tank
