HI all -
I am new to this forum and am loacted in Australia. I am also new to owning a Speedster (which I love) The problem I am having is weeds getting into the jet intake. I believe 1997 models had a manaul weed removal but not so for my model. I have also read about the Hydro Surge system but can not find info anywhere or whether it can be retro fitted to the my 1995. Pump is 140mm. I am upgrading to Skat Trak impellers. No worries with stones or rocks on lake bed just weeds. I am in desparate need for a weed guard or removal system. Any advice.

What's new Mate,

I'm in the USA and have a 97 speedster with the manual weed grate. I hate to burst you bubble, but it doesn't do much good. I have to travel down a short canal to the main lake and even with the weed rakes open, I still have to stop as soon as I reach the main lake and pull the weeds out. I hear certain Skat Trak impellers are pretty good weed shreaders, but I don't remember which model. I might be trying that this year myself. Good luck.
