Yuji – I have read several forums by you and by the sounds of it you have the most experience with tweaking the 180. I have a 05 180 and want to make some of the mods that you have done to yours. My question is where did you acquire the parts? I have looked all over the internet and can’t seem to locate the parts you describe. Also when you rerouted your exhaust what did you use to plug the factory hole? I guess all in all I think it would be great if you could elaborate a little more on what you did and if after you put the work into it are you satisfied with the performance of the boat overall (was the work worth the effort)? I am sure that other 180 owners would love to hear your comments – you have put allot of effort into your Doo. The biggest issue I have with mine is the noise level - where you able to reduce that at all – I hate having to turn my stereo up to a deafing level in order to hear it because the engine is so loud. I finally got to test the trim plates this weekend that BRP put on last year and I can’t say enough – I am amazed what a difference two aluminum plates made. I also got my factory tower put on a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy with the way it changed the look of the boat and it really didn’t take that long to do – I wouldn’t say it was worth the 3 grand I ended up spending on it – but almost. I also have Hydro-turf ordered that will be here tomorrow and can’t wait to put that on. I think what I am really asking of you is after using your 180 is it worth the time and money to make the mods that you have done or should we be thinking about doing something different in order to get the most out of our investments?
