I just bought a 2005 Sportster 4-TEC from the owner, and he gave me two keys. I would assume that's standard. Any dealer should be able to tell you how much an extra key would cost. Automobile keys with built-in electronic chips go for a couple hundred dollars (gasp!), and I would expect the D.E.S.S. to be comparable.

Last summer I purchased an extra, I believe it was around 30-40 bucks. But that was for an older boat so not sure on newer ones.

My 06 Sportster SCIC bought new came with one key. I paid about $40 i think for a spare at time of purchase. My 96 Seaddo XP also only has one key.

My 06 also came with just 1 key.

My 2006 Sportster also brand new from the dealer only came with one key.

My 04 came with one key. Had additional key programmed for about $45 bucks CDN

Yeah i just bought a boat a month and a half ago and they only supply you with one D.E.S.S. Key. I asked the dealer for a second one to be made it was about 40 sumthin dollars but he forgot to charge me for it so i got it for free. lol

one key for my 06 in CA and about 3 months later the dealer closed it's doors.
