Sup all,

So im getting a new boat this summer I got about 22K to spend. Im thinking the challnger 180 is the way to go. I want it for all around recreation and fishing. Just a couple questions for anyone who has one.

I wakebaord alot, if I add weights and or ballast will I get a decent wake?

Also, does power become an issue with this boat, it looks bad ass, I just wonder about a boat that has a Jet ski motor in it. Even though it pushes 215HP!

Somtimes I just think for 22,000 its just to good to be true, thats all.

Send Pics if you got em im getting SToked on this boat, I just want to know if any of you wish you woulda got somthing bigger after yo got it.

Hey man, what's up. I have a 180 and I really must say that it is a great boat. If you really care about the wake, I think it's important for you to read this:
- the wake's size has, aproximatedly, the height of a binding with 4 persons of the boat
- since this is a real thirsty boat, if you add weight, the boat will still be nimble and you will really get some nice air, but be ready for the gas bill (i have done this)
- in reference to the shape, it has no problem
- one really bothering thing is that at less than 18 mph, the wake either is dirty or you won't have any, it'll grow in front of you
The boat has great pros, like:
- easy manueverability
- great performance
- great for a day in the lake
- incredibly easy to approach a dock
- easy trailering
- JET DRIVE= SAFETY

But also has some cons:
- Crappy audio system
- The boat slows down a lot when making sharp turns
- The nose is very low, so it's very likely to submerge a bit when crossing wakes at low or idle speed (when you approach a skier).
- It's difficult for the boat to tow a person of 140-150 lbs on slalom. It's difficult, but it surely can do it

I really don't want to mess your plans for this boat, but this is some info that a dealer will never tell you when buying a boat.

I really recomend it for your budget. An equivalent in size, let's say a Sea Ray 176 or 180 won't give you what this boat has.

So the only thing I can say is: BUY IT . You wont regret it, it's a great boat. Thanks Sea Doo

As for the motor , seadoo doesn't make a boat with a jetski motor .......however it does make jetski's with a boat motor . I dont think power will be a issue.

For the money, it seems good. All my fishing friends think im nuts, but im not that serious of a fisherman. im working on getting one right now. It just seems like the way to go. The whole stern being low thing sounds kinda wild, i guess we will see what happends with big waves. I dont wanna dunk it!! lol.
