Motor question/problem?

My question is, I took off the pipe and right where it goes into the motor there is the center port and 2 small ones on each side of the center one. One one motor those ports were empty. On the other motor, those ports were full to the top. There wasn't any water in the pipe itself just those ports on one motor.
Is the motor that has the water in it good, or is the motor that was empty good?
If so what is the problem?
thank you for your help.

Yes you did misunderstand me lol. There is not water in the motor. There is water in the exhaust ports.well i hat to see somebody with no replies and i will endeavour to help - but do i understand you correctly - there was water in the engine? if so - i would drain it asap then stick some wd40 in there to displace the rest of the water from various places - the i would try and start her up (bear in mind at this point i am not technically minded to a mechanics extent) but my brain says get the wtare out and start her up - if it was salt water you will notice the oil may be a whiteish colour on the dipstck - this will tell you if the motor was completely submersed - but not necessarily if the other motor is ok - does it start?

Got it figured out. Getting all the little minor things wrong with it and should be able to take it out in a few weeks. Just have the seats left, and a little cleaning up.ok sorry about that - do you now mean the exhause manifold?????
very confused
thanks for replying though. This is not like your average forum... Takes days / weeks to get a response. Gotta be something better out there for information.
