holding up great, everyone who rode w/o says they love it and it works great. i opted for the easier to install 3m backing and it took about 30 minutes to install. 3x to the lake and not a care. don't know about the carpet but hydroturf is like surfboard deck grip and I have good experience w/ those products so it made sense to me to go w/ what i know.
one more note, i installed a keelguard and that is great if you beach your boat. i'll post pics as soon as wifey downloads from the cam.
