Just started having eratic reading from my fuel guage. Looks like a loose wire at some point. Anyone have any idea where to look?
Thanks!

There is a plug in the harness for the gauge itself, and a plug in the harness for the sender at the tank. Check them both for a good connection.Chances are that maybe your float sprung a leak and is filling with gas, causing it to sink now, or it dropped a magnet- both causing erratic movements. Only way to tell about the float in the sender is to pull it from the tank and have a look. I just recently did the same thing to a 97 XP, to find that the float was filled with gas, and the internal fuse was blown in the sender. Both I repaired for about 8 bucks. If you find that your float is going bad, there is a replacement float available. I think maybe there was a service bulletin on this one (not a recall). Check with a dealer. Since your gauge is erratic, then the fuse is good.
