Hey guys, my first post. I'm looking at buiying a Sportster SCIC 215hp's or a 2000-2004 Speedster 16ft with the 240 merc.

First to be used on a fresh water lake about 10miles long.

-witch is faster, power to weight ratio seems beter on the Sportster?
-witch does better donuts or 360?
-witch is better at submorining?
-with is better on Gas?

Since the sportster smaller is it funner? I'm looking for something and fun as a 2 seat watercraft!

Definitley the sportster SCIC...that thing is a blast and has all the latest tech and mucho horsepower.

Really??/ I was leaning to the Speedster, windshild, bigger ect.....So your saying the sportster is allot more fun?

so, then who would the speedster 16ft be good for then?

I have the 06 sportster scic and i do everything with that boat from wakeboarding to racing people on jet skis or other boats . Fuel wise i believe its pretty good i fill it up and the whole day in the water it would only waste about half a tank or a litle bit more, its a great boat.

Hi boys,

I am writing from Slovakia (EUROPE)
I`m also planning to buy a sportster 215hp.
some delaers (they are not selling jet boats) said that jetboats are OK on lakes but on the see it could happend that if there are bigger waves, and the boat is jumping on them, the engine gets not enough water (just like by the jet ski).
what do you think about it? is that a problem?
