Hi!

I need to replace the foam on the lower side of the engine access cover, does anyone know what product I can use to remove it without damaging the plastic?

just had a look at mine and it is only just stuck on!!!! - seems to peel of quite easy - i guess if there is any left on you could use a metal scraper lightly and then rub down any excess glue with some glass paper - doesnt seem to be too much of a problem. - hope this helps or have i completely missed the point?

Try a strong application of heat to release the glue. A hair dryer or stronger would probably do.

a metal scraper would get off most of it but in order to get a good finish I was wondering whether there is any liquid that would take the rest of the glue off. I'll try the hair dryer too.

nail varnish remover gets rid of most glues - not that i wear nail varnish but its oner of those not so useless bits of info you pick up on the way - anything with a lot of alcohol in it - but not whisky!
