I am thinking about buying a 1997 Challenger. This is the fourteen footer with a single 110 hp engine. The hull and interior are in great shape, and the guy is asking $5000. Do you think this is too much money for this boat? Also, my other concern is that with only 110 hp, will this be enough power to adequately pull a skier? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That seems steep. I bought a 97 speedster, twin engine, great condition, for $5,000 in '02. If your worried about pulling power I would suggest looking for a 14' speedster. They are very fast and have plenty of skiier power.
Good Luck,

Gotta agree- the 14 foot Speedsters are great. 5K is way too much for the Challenger unless it was an 18' with twins. Looks aren't everything.Jeff,Hi everybody,
