just bought a 1996 challenger and when you run it say 10 min wide open and then idle around, when you try to take off again the rpms hit 7000 and you are only running about 15 mph. Ive looked in the impeller housing, there is nothing blocking the prop.and ive checked all of the electrical connections and everything is tight and when you let it set for about 20 min you can start it up and it runs fine. anyone with the same problem pleeeaaassseee help me out.

Did you look in intake grate area?

Plastic bag would be my bet.
