I have an 06 Speedster 200 with 430hp. Just got it back from the the dealer for the 10 hr service. One of my concerns was the loud beep I get after the engines have started and are running. It is very loud and annoying (about 4-5 secs in duration.) They could not duplicate the problem and said that it was probably a low fuel warning. It does it every time I start the engines, full tank or not. Is this normal? It really is obnoxious.

I have an 06 speedster and it sometimes does the loud beep after I start it and sometimes it doesn't. Not sure what it is, just learned to live with it.

Have a look at your manual under the trouble shooting guide. You will find it means one of the following:
1. Good kill cord attachment / connection
2. Bad kill cord attachment / connection
3. Low fuel or oil
4. Low oil in the reserve (have a look at the little white tank on the side)
5. Everything is OK.

I have a 2004 Sportster. I have been complaining about long beep (random) for 2 years now. I had dealer put computer on it 3 times so far and am getting very confusing computer read outs. Fuel sensor out of range 255 times in 2 years...; MAG TPS adaptation failure 40 times in 1 year; PTO TPS adaptation failure 39 times in 1 year ; those messages were confusing to local mechanic so we cleared settings to 0 last week and will wait for next failure and then rush boat to dealer.

BUT IN THE MEAN TIME, i LOOKED AT MY SPARK PLUGS AN ALMOST FELL ON MY BACK WHEN I SAW HOW CARBONISED THEY WERE. DARK BALCK AFTER ONLY 100 HOURS OF OPERATIONS. I DO A LOT OF LOW SPEED BOATING AND MAYBE THAT WHAT ENOUGH TO CARBONIZE PLUGS AND THEN TPS SENSORS WOULD SEND DISTRESS SIGNALS....

i CHANGED BOTH PLUGS LAST MONDAY AND AM SURPRISED TO ADMIT THAT IT RUNS LIKE A NEW BOAT. IT IS STRANGE, BUT 2 NEW PLUGS TOOK CARE OF A 2 YEAR OLD PROBLEM. SENSORS WOULD COST 200$ EACH. THE PROBLEM WOULD OCCUR EVERY SECOND DAY BEFORE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE PROGRESS OF YOUR FINDINGS.

I know this is an old thread but I purchased a 2008 Seadoo Utopia 205 with the two 4 tec engines.  I get the loud beep on starting the second engine.  The engines run fine without any issues.  I am thinking that maybe this may be related to the battery voltage being drawn down when starting the second engine causing the currently running engine's module to complain.

 

Has anyone found out anything else about this?
