I just purchased a "like new" (had it checked, 23 hours on it)1997 Speedster. I've owned big boats(35ft +) and Jet Skis forever, but have never owned one of these jet boats. I live in downtown Chicago, so it will be used on Lake Michigan quite a bit. How do these things handle in rough water? I don't scare easy. I'm just wondering what to expect out of it.

In really rough water, that 14 footer is gonna rattle your brains out. They ride pretty bad when it's like that. Lots of porpoising. I'm sure you noticed that there is no provision to trim it out. BUT- when the water is calm, she will handle like a dream, and she will FLY!!!

Cool. The brain rattling, I can handle. Are they relatively "seaworthy"?In really rough water, that 14 footer is gonna rattle your brains out. They ride pretty bad when it's like that.
