Recently purchase an airhead mega slice tube, and an airhead 4 person bungie rope to tow behind my 06 speedster. Well, the boat towed it great but when I went to push the ski post back down I couldn't. It was very slightly bent causing it not to go down. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I had one adult, and two very small children on the tube. I think it was the bungie rope that caused it to bend because I could fell it surging and pulling on the boat. If anyone else has had this problem let me know. Guess I will figure out how to take the post off now.

I have the same problem with my speedster. I figured out the hard way not to pull tubes with the ski pole. To fix it here's what i did. Mine only had a slight bend so i took the pole out and put a light coat of paint on it. I put it back in and moved it up and down a few times (it isn't fun) and took it back out. The paint should be worn off of the high spot on the bend. I put a sanding disc in my die grinder and worked it down in that spot. It takes a little trial and error but it solved my problems anyway.

Called the dealer today and ordered a new post.. It is 26.47 and should be here this week. I have pulled small tubes with no problem but will not pull any more big tubes with multiple riders. I wish there was another way on the s200 to hook up the tow rope. I am trying to get a tower, but the dealer said they cannot order one, which I know you can get them now after you buy the boat. I believe I will pull multiple rider tubes with the bent post, and just swap it out when I want to post to go down, or when pulling wakeboarders. It is very easy to get it out anyway. I am going to see if I can find a machine shop to make me a solid bar out of stell, or chrome. I will let you guys know what I find.

You're lucky. A new post for my Speedster SK is over $100. Mine has a tow ring on the back in addition to the ski pole. Wonder why they changed?

Is the post on the speedster SK the same as the s200. I heard that some of the earlier speedsters had a beefier pole that was harder to bend. It is sad that there is no eyelet on the back of the speedster to tow tubes with. I ordered the new one from Lake Norman Powersports in NC where is bought the boat. I don't know why they made such a flimsy pylon when they know tubing is very popular. I still might try and find a machine shop that could make a stronger one. Thanks again.
