Hey peeps, hello and for those of you starting out your 2006 season like me... have a great one! hooah!
I just got my boat out of the garage and started my pre-flight checks. Charged my battery and installed it. Lubed all the different parts requiring it and decided to turn over both my rotax engines a couple times. Just to hear her purr..
Right engine started with no problem... full choke and she turned...
Different story on the left side, all I heard was a whirring sound... no turning. Checked all connections and couldn't find any loose ends..
Anybody know what I'm talking about? Any ideas?
Pre Flight checks

Starter had to be replaced.... that's it.. Left engine starter is located under the engine smack in the middle of the boat where water can collect and the mechanic figured the previous owner must have left the Doo for an extended period of time in the water. Water collected and the starter soak in it.... corroded and had to be rebuild. Anyhow took 2 weeks and 400$ to get it going again...

Back in for repairs...
Spent a couple weekends on it and then the left engine stop turning.. It's been in the shop for two weeks and not sure I'm going to get it out this week.
They have to open it up and see if it's one of the pistons or crankchaft that's busted.... I looked at the previous owners invoices and noticed he changed two pistons in 2004 and all four in 2005..
