Hi,
Have 2007 230 challenger wake. Little history, drivers side engine fuel pump went out. Ordered new one from seadoo dealer, 650.00. Installed it engine ran at 2000 rpm less than other engine. Used one weekend, then winterized for season. Next year same problem, looked at part number on fuel pumps, they were different. Dealer had sold me the wrong pump. The boat now was running 10 minutes and dieing. Called dealer, told problem, they said had been to long since bought pump. Sent me a new one for another 650.00. Fixed rpm problem, now both engines the same, but still running 10 minutes and dieing. Lasted for two days, then would not start at all. Hauled to dealer. They told me it was the front computer they were 100 percent sure. Told them to overnight it, at 950.00. They did not call me after a few days. I called them they said it needed the computer but that did not fix it. I know what throwing parts at something is, just not that expensive of a part. They had the boat for over 3 months. They finanlly said it was fixed it was melted wiring from the fuel pump to something. I picked it up, it was end of season, winterized. Now first trip out, new season, made it threw the no wake zone of marina, floored throttle, made it 100 feet, engine died. Restarted, made 250 feet died. Next made it 1/2 mile and died. It will restart fine, and dies at different speeds and times, nothing consistant. So this problem I think was caused by the wrong fuel pump I was sold to begin with. Now I have to haul back to the same dealer to work on again. In to them for right under 4000.00 now.
Love the boat,
Not liking keeping it running.
